A tradition that draws its essence from the principles and values of dignity, the high sense of honour, respect for others and politeness without being obsequious, generosity without being prodigal, solidarity and obsession to keep except the Honor of the family (the inbred is an iron ecu said), values of resistance to adversity, bravery, avoidance of shame at the price of his life.

To live in this hostile and immense environment, the toubou must live in ascetic: eat little (the glutton is insulted), drink little (water is rare), sleep little, laugh little, do not cry, brief control his emotions because in these Land, happiness and misfortune are constantly happening.

As in the various stages of teaching (primary, secondary and university), at each age group, the transmission of custom is ensured. Gradually, year after year, tradition is delivered and administered to toubou children. It goes in the way of clothing (I will return to the different uses of the turban in the toubou), to stand in public, to speak, equip its méhari, to marry (another chapter on the tradition of marriage ), how to grow old and face death...

Preserve our cultural diversity that makes the wealth of our country and our world. Large nations such as Japan, China or India, which have not abandoned their cultures (their way of being), resist their disappearance and a honorably above the world. A man without culture is called to live in anonymity.
